Prerequisite Charms: None

Casting her name into the Void, the Abyssal vows that all else she has loved and cherished will soon follow. This Charm grants the Exalt an Overdrive pool capable of containing ten motes. While engaged in combat, she receives two offensive motes whenever she knowingly and successfully inflicts harm (Manual of Exalted Power—Abyssals, pp. 153) upon a being which played a prominent role in the Exalt’s life before accepting the Black Exaltation. If she currently holds a positive Intimacy toward her target or the target was responsible for her “death,” she is instead rewarded with (Whispers +1) offensive motes. Acceptable targets include old friends and family, the town folk of the village where she grew up, the bandit-king and his followers who raided her home and prompted her Exaltation, and so on. Her targets need not be living when she harms them; she may harry their ghosts into the Underworld. She may only gain these motes once per action per target.

If the Abyssal knows of no living being that would be a valid trigger for this Charm, she is rewarded for her thorough extermination of her past. For as long as she maintains no positive intimacies to any living thing, she gains (Whispers +1) offensive motes the first time per scene that she inflicts harm upon any living being.
